It is because of the dedication, and support of people around the world who care about Tony that his story remains active and visible. While we advocate for Tony and for his relocation to a big cat sanctuary, we are also speaking out for the

est. 5,000 tigers privately owned in the United States 

who suffer in backyards as “pets,” in roadside zoos and circuses, bred for profit, exploited in photos ops, etc. All of our combined efforts are important for Tony and these great cats who deserve respect, protection and proper homes.

Willowy grass, flushed by the setting sun
Scent of liberty swirling in the air
Slightly stepping across the earth
Concrete prison swirling in fumes
Pacing back and forth
Eyes empty of his being
Restful dignity under trees
Like an arrow, he runs the plains
Heavy, powerful, light and majestic
Ogled, taunted, humiliated
His soul hides forgotten
Walking, never going anywhere
Breathing in life, nature and being
Smothered by the poison air
Looking across his kingdom
Shackled within a square of bars
Never to taste the sweetness of life
Tony, a tiger yet to be a tiger
