Tony’s Letter To Copy and Paste:

Dear

I am writing to you about an animal welfare situation in the state of Louisiana that I am very concerned about.
The Tiger Truck Stop, located in Grosse Tete Louisiana, uses a live tiger in a roadside attraction. The tiger, named Tony, has lived there for 9 years. It is angering as well as sad to see this majestic cat pacing back and forth in his steel prison with people staring at and taunting him. A sign is even posted to remind people not to throw things at him.
I find this truly shocking and cannot understand how such an exhibition is permitted. Not only is it an unhealthy atmosphere for the tiger to be around the fumes and noise of cars and trucks, but it is dangerous and a threat to public safety. It is obvious that a truck stop is not an acceptable place to keep a tiger.
This tiger should be placed in a big cat sanctuary where he can have the closest thing to a natural habitat as possible and be provided with the proper diet, medical care, and enrichment he deserves.
Those of us who support the removal of Tony from the truck stop want nothing more than for this beautiful majestic cat to have a peaceful, clean, safe home in a natural habitat while being cared for with respect and professionalism.
To permit such a blatant display of animal cruelty to continue is very sad and disturbing. All those involved, as well as those who did nothing to help Tony, should be ashamed – to allow this magnificent cat to continue to suffer is in itself a cruel and inhumane act.
I respectfully request this matter be investigated and if anyone can help Tony, please do so. I fear Tony’s fate may be the same of another tiger Michael Sandlin owned named Selena. Selena, a 4 year old white tiger, mysteriously disappeared only to show up above the salad bar in the Tiger Truck Stop – stuffed.
I expect my concerns to be addressed and look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
