PLEASE contact Coalition of Louisiana Animal Advocates and ask that they join us in the FREE TONY THE TIGER CAMPAIGN. Don’t forget to add links-pictures or what ever else you feel they need to see.

AR-News: Three tigers out, one remains (Tiger Truck Stop) (US - LA)

[Cynthia Cash and Holly Reynolds, Coalition of Louisiana Animal Advocates
founder (1981), are mentioned in this article. Cynthia has been working
independently on this for some time, and currently represents COLAA on
the issue of exotic animals. While she is happy that three of the tigers
are going to a sanctuary, she is still concerned for the welfare of the
remaining tiger. She wants to make sure that it is kept in a proper
facility.]

{Note: Ms. Reynolds now in her 80’s did not miss one council meeting in Iberville about Tony in 2008-2009. She is an inspiration to many and her love for animals shows in everything she does}

Roots
COLAA was founded in 1981 as the "Coalition of Louisiana Animal Activists" and incorporated in early 1982. Ours is the oldest continuously active statewide humane activist group and still the most extensive network of animal activists in Louisiana. COLAA was founded by Holly Frederick Reynolds, the grand dame of the modern humane movement in Louisiana and the founder of such other important Louisiana humane groups as:

St. Tammany Humane Society
http://www.sttammanyhumanesociety.org/
Capital Area Animal Welfare Society
http://www.caaws.org/

To the present time, Holly Reynolds continues to guide and inspire our work.

PROGRAMS
COLAA has facilitated the formation of a number of humane organizations. We work cooperatively with other humane organizations, animal control agencies, activist groups, and rescuers to achieve common goals.
